Oh sweet woman of the word, this blessed and ministered to me. It is right where I am reading at too, so you have added depth to those verses for me. I hadn’t thought about Rebekah’s last words to Jacob, that she would see him again shortly , which isn’t how it worked out at all. Praying not to hold too tightly to my thoughts, which are not always like His thoughts!
Love you and God bless you!

I am so glad it blessed and ministered to you. I can’t wait to read your next poem! I love your poems and the precious glimpses of the Kingdom principles you share in them.

      Love and Blessings,
      Theresa

Reblogged this on Moore to Ponder and commented:

“…His children sometimes read into His promises, and see things that really don’t exist. We so easily set our hearts on earthly things such as material possessions, relationships, and roles. Our hearts cause us to map out a course, and set time tables. We set ourselves up for a world of hurt when we do that. Let’s pause and consider the last words Rebekah, one of the great matriarchs of Israel, spoke to her son Jacob:…”

Wow, this is STILL so impacting to me! Thank you for sharing it again! In the bible study I am doing, the author says that our one relationship with God is more important than any other factor in our lives. Bless you for doing this series!

Thank you, Deb! That means so much to me!

I agree…our relationship with God is so important. Every day I feel like a little girl who is on her first day of her relationship with the Lord. And at the end of the day I find myself hoping I will do better the next day. ❤
