Scripture reference;
“12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:12-16 KJV
“1 O Lord, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me.
2 You know my downsitting and my uprising; You understand my thought afar off.
3 You sift and search out my path and my lying down, and You are acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue [still unuttered], but, behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
5 You have beset me and shut me in—behind and before, and You have laid Your hand upon me.
6 Your [infinite] knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high above me, I cannot reach it.” Psalm 139:1-6 AMP

” 1 And Adam knew Eve as his wife, and she became pregnant and bore Cain; and she said, I have gotten and gained a man with the help of the Lord.
2 And [next] she gave birth to his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
3 And in the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the ground.
4 And Abel brought of the firstborn of his flock and of the fat portions. And the Lord had respect and regard for Abel and for his offering,
5 But for [a]Cain and his offering He had no respect or regard. So Cain was exceedingly angry and indignant, and he looked sad and depressed.
6 And the Lord said to Cain, Why are you angry? And why do you look sad and depressed and dejected?
7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin crouches at your door; its desire is for you, but you must master it.” Genesis 4:1-7 AMP

“18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lordhath spoken it.” Isaiah 1:18-20 KJV
The Lord knows all about us.
He knows what we did a long time ago, and what we did a few seconds ago. He not only knows what is on our mind, but He also knows how we feel. He is able to empathize in a way that no one else ever could, and He just keeps on loving with all of His heart, with all of His soul, and all of His mind. His heart, soul , and mind are immeasurably larger than ours. His capacity to love, to reason, and to provide acceptance is immeasurably greater than ours.
Now please take a moment and pause to take that in. How does that make you feel?
At this moment I am awe inspired!
…However the sad reality is that moments like these are not commonplace for me. So many…too many of my moments each day are spent feeling angry, indignant, sad, depressed and dejected. This is probably due to the fact that what I offer the Lord (what I consider to be my reasonable service) is not worthy of the Lord’s regard or respect, and deep down inside I know it…I know all too well that my attitude can be just like Cain’s. Sometimes my angry and indignant feelings deceive me. I mistakenly think those feelings are only directed at people, or situations, and that they are righteous anger and indignation. Sometimes that is the case, but more often it isn’t the case. More often they are not righteous. More often those feelings are directed not only at people, but also at God.
How does this affect me? It devours me. It tears me up inside 😦
The part that makes me glad is that in spite of that, the Lord still loves me, still reasons with me, and still offers His loving acceptance, regard, and respect…Just like Abel received! 🙂
How are you feeling today…at this very moment?
Look, the Lord is there….right where you are, and is very interested and listening intently. He is longing for you to share your mind and your heart, and He’s loving you with all of His. He has an important message just for you. I’m praying for you right now and so is He! ❤
Love,
Theresa
