Psalm 4

 ¹Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

 ²O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.  

³But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

 ⁴Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

 ⁵Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

 ⁶There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

 ⁷Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

 ⁸I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

 ⁷And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

 ⁸For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

 ⁹And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

 ¹⁰Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. 2 Corinthians 12:6-10KJV

¹⁸For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

 ¹⁹For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

 ²⁰For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

 ²¹Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

 ²²For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

 ²³And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

 ²⁴For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

 ²⁵But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

 ²⁶Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

 ²⁷And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

 ²⁸And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:18-28 KJV

The past months I have had many challenges. Some that I can talk about and some that must remain “unspoken”. In some ways I have not been as faithful as I should have been…I have been spread so thin.  Communing with my own heart and the Lord, especially in the night watches while I lie in bed…that is something that I have done in abundance. The Lord understands. He pulls us in at those times and comforts us. His grace is sufficient.
