I think the most important thing for me to remember is that the Lord wants us to take refuge in Him…
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.” Psalm 111:10 KJV
“Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.” Psalm 111:10 HCSB
” The Lord redeems the life of His servants, and all who take refuge in Him will not be punished.” Psalm 34:22
“Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us.” 1John 4:15-19.
I think I will have to conclude that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, but not the end or conclusion of wisdom. The fear of the Lord causes us to want to learn about Him through prayer and study. But the thing that the Lord wants us to achieve through this, the thing that He desires to “remain” in us as a result of drawing near Him, the gifts he longs for us to receive and never pass away are faith, hope, love, joy, and peace. Below are some more verses on this subject that I have been discussing. We must interpret scripture with scripture.
“Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 HCSB
“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” Romans 15:4 KJV
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isaiah 26:3 KJV
The Spirit may show us our sins as we walk in the Light, but we are not to continually gaze at our sins or the sins of others. Once we see them we are to Look to Jesus our Lovely Savior, confess them, press into Him and “His” “Perfect Love”!
I am reposting the words to a song that describe God’s love. Here is the link where you can read more and hear a version of the song:

The Love of God by Frederick M. Lehman
The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.
Refrain
O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
The saints’ and angels’ song.
When years of time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men, who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
Refrain
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry.
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.
Refrain
