Once again, you give us a waterfall of His Word, to wash over us, to immerse us in His truth and promises. Thank you so much. I continue to weep as I read, but I guess that is okay. He must be doing something in me that needs to be done, and using you in the process. 🙂 Thank you for going to Him and then sharing with us. That is not easy to do, especially when we don’t have pat answers and many issues still abound. He is faithful, truly!
Today I was in 1 John too, and thinking about His blood cleansing us. I asked Him if He could show me something else. I was hungry, needy and didn’t want to head off into my day forgetting what I had just read. I didn’t want to just go through the motions.
I went in to work some more on those kitchen cabinets. I’m trying steel wool ( really just a scrubby thing ) on them, to take off the black that was left behind even after I stripped them and washed them. I thought the wood stain ( and shoe polish!) would hide it, cover it, but it didn’t. They just looked dirty.
And that is when He talked to me about His blood, how it washes our sins, our blackness, away and doesn’t just cover it up. He doesn’t just hide them from sight. They are gone.
This isn’t anything really new or super insightful, but it made me cry as I realized that HE was answering my prayer that He show me something else.
I’ve left a “book” in your comments sections, dear Woman of the Word! Oops!!!
    love you and thank you!

These are such a collection of my favourite verses… God’s word to bring hope and strength… I need Him day by day… each breath is only life when breathed in Him…such encouragement!

———-did I share my daughter’s post with you?
I was greatly encouraged with the Nicholas hug… be blessed as I was.
~The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
