Scripture Reference;
2 Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. 2 Corinthians 2:2-5
It has been a long time since I last wrote here about my family. It’s time for an update. I have seen many wonderful things happen this year, and some things that have been hard. I have a prayer request. My Husband’s glaucoma is getting worse. It is hard enough that he has been living with a dull ache in his eye ever since this past spring but there has been a new warning sign. He has woke up the past couple mornings with fluid on his cheek. That is bad. He is scared and depressed and trying his very hardest to take it all in stride. He confided in me that he knew kids at the blind school when he was growing up that were in so much pain and the pressure in their eyes was so high that they had to have them removed. That is what happened with his other eye (the one that never had any vision in it). He had it removed either in 1997 or 1998. It is one thing to suddenly and to unexpectedly go blind, but to ride in a car to a hospital and look all around outside, knowing you are going to come back out of the same building into complete darkness for the rest of your life…it makes me cry whenever I think about it.
Please pray for a miraculous healing, and also for the grace required to cope should a miracle not be part of the Lord’s plan. Thank you so much.
.
Love,
Theresa

Praying with you for healing and the relief of pain for your beloved hubby. I hate that he is going through all of this . . .and you too. And no, I can’t imagine driving to the hospital, knowing I would be leaving and no longer seeing anything. Crying out to God on his behalf. love you so much! deb

Thank you so much, Deb.
It is all so uncertain.
When I see him able to laugh I am so relieved. It’s always there…the physical discomfort, and that awful awareness of the situation, especially when new symptoms occur. But when He is able to laugh at something funny, and able to discuss one of his interests like music or politics or whatever I know that the level of coping is better. It is when he can’t laugh or show interest in conversation…those are the times that worry me so much.
Ever since I asked everyone to pray again a couple days ago his spirits have been improved and he at least hasn’t had anymore leakage from the eye.
I have felt the prayers going up on our behalf. 🙂
Love,
Theresa
Transitions part 18: Many Waters | Moore to Ponder said,

[…] All of the stress began to take it’s toll on me. I had lost about 60 pounds in 2011 but from 2012-2013 I gained it all back plus a little more. I also became very depressed and was so weary that I was having a hard time with school. At midterm this past spring my grades were pretty good. I had 2 A’s and a C. My 4th class didn’t start till mid semester. Then when my husband quit his job, I knew that I would need to drop out and look for work, so I withdrew from all of those classes…dropped out of college, and started looking for work. I didn’t know about the foreclosure until about a week after I dropped out. You can read about that here: https://pronetoponder.wordpress.com/2012/11/02/transitions-part-17-more-reasons-to-trust-him/ […]
